Disclaimer: Every family has different needs/goals and our facilitators are trained to explain all of the options available to you and act as a thinking partner so that you can leave the meeting and make the best choices with your child.
You may have questions that we will do our best to answer, but we may need to do additional research or possibly refer you to your school counselor for district-specific questions.
What do families have to say about Private Consultation?
“We walked away from our meeting with a feeling that we were on the right track and maybe even a little ahead of the game (if that’s even possible).”
“We received so much more in our time than we could have imagined. She spoke respectfully and optimistically with our daughter. We came away with the feeling of clarity and ready to take on the process ahead of us when it comes to selecting colleges and the application process. Cannot recommend this service enough!”
“We organized a private consultation for our 11th grader. Prior to the meeting we were asked a few incredibly relevant questions on At The Core’s wonderfully intuitive website. Our consultant began the meeting with a beautifully drafted agenda and binder filled with information designed exactly to our needs. As the consultation concluded we had a few questions that required a bit of research. Our consultant finished the search and had the information in our hands in less than 24 hours. With the college preparation and application process being so cumbersome we are lucky to have such an excellent resource right in our backyards.”
“We had a private consultation for our freshman daughter. Our consultant was wonderful to work with! She answered all our questions about AP classes vs College Credit Plus. She also helped map out a tentative class load for our daughter. We also discussed standardized testing timelines, volunteer hour tracking, and she answered many college questions that we already had. She was extremely informative, and helped put our minds at ease.”
“My son is a freshman, and we were overwhelmed when it came time to schedule classes for sophomore year. There are so many different pathways and I wasn’t clear on the differences. Our consultant took the time to explain everything to us and helped my son map out his classes for all three years. I am so glad we decided to do this now. It took a lot of stress off my plate, and our consultant was a pleasure to work with and so reassuring.”
