Below we have collected some ideas for celebrations and our latest and greatest version of our graduation gift ideas.

Celebration Ideas:
- Plan future travel – You might not have specific dates in mind, but you can still dream and plan what a special trip might look like.
- Special dinner from their favorite restaurant–everything from appetizers to desserts. Or maybe even buffet spread from a couple favorite places? Decorate the house like you would for a “normal” grad party.
- Drive thru graduation party – Invite friends and family to drive by your house. Do it up with balloons and music. Have a keepsake item to sign out for drive by signings. Honking is encouraged! Make it a party. Include the whole neighborhood’s seniors.
- Create a digital slideshow of the best/cutest/funniest pictures of your child from the last 18 years. Have family and friends send in pictures too. Share the finished product with friends. Maybe create a website where they could all be posted.
- Create an online memory jar (Facebook group? Dropbox shared folder?) where students can share their memories from all their friendships and experiences.
- Collect short “congrats” video messages from friends and family to make into one collage.
- “Host” a special senior breakfast–remotely. Recreate the senior breakfast with pancakes and an online gathering to eat and chat.
- Surprise sign bomb your house – Have friends and family make posters that are taped to your house/garage door.
- Decorate the front door with your child’s school highlights and future plans.
- Have a funny senior photo shoot complete with face mask and toilet paper.
- Adopt a senior – Currently popular on social media – Folks “adopt” a senior and give them cards and small gifts.
- Watch some celebrity graduation speeches.

FOR THOSE CREATIVE GIFT GIVERS
Sometimes you need a graduation gift idea that’s a little bit different:
- A fully packed wallet–Buy a new wallet and fill it with store gift cards, a little cash, some family pictures, and some coins for the college laundry.
- Lots of ideas that you can customize on Etsy: a miles from home sign to hang in their dorm, personalized graduation keychain with 2020 penny, phone/passport/laptop covers, personalized water bottles, or a miles from home key chain.
- A loaded bound for college laundry basket with all kinds of cleaning and toiletry items.
- College specific…beyond the t-shirt or blanket…how about local restaurant gift cards or a gift card to the college bookstore?
- Monthly gift subscriptions for things like coffee, snacks, body care items, etc.
