A camera crew from 10TV was at Tips for the College-Bound in Dublin to film for a recent story on planning for college.
“So glad I attended NOW with a freshman instead of waiting until junior year.”
“Gave us a good sequential plan for our approach to preparing for college.”
“The ‘no stress’ tone was very helpful…to make it all accessible.”
“Helped us to not feel so overwhelmed, but instead more organized.”
Have you attended our Looking Ahead presentation when your student was an 8th grader? Wondering if you’re ready for Tips for the College-Bound?
Tips for the College-Bound is vital for families as the student gets a little bit older. Like Looking Ahead, it covers high school topics, but the focus is more on the college search and application process. Information about the financial aspects of paying for college is also included in the Tips presentation–certainly a topic to tackle sooner rather than later. Looking Ahead is a prequel to Tips, so you’ll be ready to attend Tips after joining us for Looking Ahead. When you are ready, we will see you at Tips!
Listen in as At The Core founder Beth Probst discusses a book she recommends to college-bound students/families, Where You Go Is Not Who You’ll Be by New York Times bestselling author Frank Bruni. The book’s subtitle is “An Antidote to the College Admissions Mania,” but the wisdom shared in the book and the stories about the kinds of programs offered across the country are wonderful and appropriate for any college-bound student!
