As high school graduation approaches for many Ohio seniors, the question of what comes next becomes paramount. If your senior is eager to quickly acquire the skills needed for lucrative, in-demand jobs in Ohio soon after graduation, this discussion is a must-attend.

Join us for a crucial conversation on navigating post-graduation pathways right in your local area at Ohio Technical Centers (OTC). These centers are a good fit for many graduating seniors and offer career technical programs deeply connected to business and industry, ensuring that the skills acquired are immediately applicable.

Note: This program is similar to the program we hosted in March. We will go into more detail in this program which will be helpful for soon-to-be high school graduates. We will also have more time for questions.

Focusing on the decisions of current high school seniors, this 90-minute discussion featuring representatives from Ohio Technical Centers and At The Core will cover the following:

    • An overview of the easily accessed career and technical centers across Ohio
    • How OTCs provide adult learners with training for in-demand jobs and a direct path to employability
    • Provide details on getting started, programs, timing, duration, costs, job placement, & more
    • Dive into the student perspective in a few example programs – types & length of classes, homework, tests, student profile & more
    • Learn how to take the next step to connect to your OTC

Explore the educational options after high school, empowering your family to make an informed decision about the best next step for your student.

There are 50 OTCs who provide post-secondary educational opportunities in their areas. Examples of programs include healthcare (medical assisting, nursing, billing, etc.), welding, HVAC, public safety, computers, culinary, maintenance, etc.
